CircularInvest launches an open call to help fund circular economy projects

A new initiative under the Circular Cities and Region Initiative aims to bridge the gap between circular economy project development and implementation
15/05/2023

The rapid change of our climate and the unprecedented challenges for humanity have made it urgent to adopt a more sustainable and circular development model. To accelerate the transition, many cities, regions and other promoters in Europe are already developing and applying circular economy projects. However, due to the perceived risks involved, such projects often struggle to secure the necessary investments, hindering their implementation.

To address this challenge, a new initiative called CircularInvest has been launched under the Circular Cities and Region Initiative (CCRI) to bridge the gap between circular economy project development and implementation by helping circular project beneficiaries become investment-ready and access financial resources.
CircularInvest will provide free project development assistance to the most promising European circular economy ideas, offering a variety of customised services based on their needs, including:

  • Business plan development.
  • Investment readiness
  • Circularity

Circular economy project owners can apply for CircularInvest project development assistance by submitting their applications via open calls on the CircularInvest platform (www.circularinvest.eu)

The first Open Call will be open from the 28th of April to the 30th of June 2023. Stay up to date on all developments by following the CircularInvest platform
