The rapid change of our climate and the unprecedented challenges for humanity have made it urgent to adopt a more sustainable and circular development model. To accelerate the transition, many cities, regions and other promoters in Europe are already developing and applying circular economy projects. However, due to the perceived risks involved, such projects often struggle to secure the necessary investments, hindering their implementation.
To address this challenge, a new initiative called CircularInvest has been launched under the Circular Cities and Region Initiative (CCRI) to bridge the gap between circular economy project development and implementation by helping circular project beneficiaries become investment-ready and access financial resources.
